Tabloid Reporter Freddie Lounds on Hannibal

Tabloid Reporter Freddie Lounds on the tv series Hannibal in leopard print skirt with matching scarf and glove cuff accents. This character is ambitious, manipulative, and devious and it makes me wonder if the choice of leopard is fashionably accidental or a subliminal attempt to underscore our negative assumptions about career minded women like Lt. Maria LaGuerta on Dexter.

Performing proximity on the 51 bus

This morning, I took the 51 bus and noticed a woman in great leopard pants. This is my attempt to perform proximity by sticking out my foot towards her.

Also, I don’t know if it’s the balmy +9C weather we are having or what, but people are (once again?) commenting out loud to me or near me. I got a, “Oh, Madame Leopard” on the way home on Mont Royal from a guy with friends, a “Did you see that?” as I left the bus, and a woman on the bus waved her leopard print gloves at me in solidarity, which I gave a thumbs-up to.

47 days to go.

Olive in zebra!

From Olive’s Mom: “more Olive in animal print. We got this prize for $25 on Santee Alley in downtown LA. The shoes were $10. I can’t remember how much the tattoo was. Olive also used this outfit trying to blend into the scenery on the gambling floor of the Luxor Casino in Vegas, but we were warned by their muscle as soon as her hand touched that slot machine.”
