A few weeks ago, I posted about standing next to people (usually women) who are wearing similar animal prints to me. I’ve started documenting this when I can and it doesn’t interfere with my experience, the wearer’s experience, or a public audience’s experience, who I am now noticing the presence of in these passive interactions. The coat check girl at the Royal Phoenix said it was the best jacket she saw all night last night and the person working the door said I looked great which makes that a tie, 95%

Day 155 on the escalator in the metro after a day of conference talks, catching up with Deirdre Logue and Allyson Mitchell, and I did the, “standing next to someone wearing the same animal print as me” performance 3 times. It’s been a long day. 95%

Day 153 and this is the face I got from 7 young women at Vanier today as I passed each in the hall and they looked me up and down. One of my Intro to Film students said, “I thought you’d be dressed in a costume,” to which I replied, “but I am in a costume.”
